Join us on Presidents’ Day weekend for our 6th annual Winter Spirit Camp! Enjoy three days of fun winter activities, making new friends, and building community.
Winter Spirit Camp hosts Miguel Villalobos and Kevin Wilson look forward to welcoming you!
This year we are using the theme of Winter Angels! Angels inspire us with their beauty and wisdom, and have been revered in many cultures:
An angel is generally a supernatural being found in various religions and mythologies. They are often depicted as benevolent celestial beings who act as intermediaries between God and humanity. and protect and guide human beings. The term “angel” has also been expanded to various notions of spirits or figures found in other religious traditions. The theological study of angels is known as “angelology.” Angels who were expelled from Heaven are referred to as fallen angels. In fine art, angels are usually depicted as having the shape of human beings of extraordinary beauty and sometime androgyny; they are often identified with symbols of bird wings, halos, and light.
So if you know how to make angel wings, bring them with you, or share with all of us how to make them, or we will create our own wings here and wear them during the dance, talent show, or whenever you want. We can also go outside and make snow angels.
