Anthony Napoletano

Anthony Napoletano is a writer, performer, builder, and designer based in New York.  As a songwriter, he uses the medium of music as therapy to express the paradox of joy and pain that come from navigating life as a queer man in this world. “Love and Other Distractions” is a collection of deeply honest and personal songs depicting the challenges of love lost and found, depression, addiction, and ultimately acceptance and personal growth.  He has performed his original music in NYC at The Club at LaMama Experimental Theatre, The Bowery Poetry Club, The Sidewalk Cafe, Otto’s Shrunken Head in the East Village, and The Aidron Duckworth Art Museum in New Hampshire. He can be heard singing backup on Jocelyn MacKenzie’s album PUSH available on RighteousBabeRecords, and their band “The Peggy’s” album “We’rewolves” is available on SoundCloud.  Anthony holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory. As a performer, he has been seen on the International Tour and London’s West End productions of “West Side Story,” Disney’s “The Doodlebops” at Madison Square Garden, “Peter Pan” at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival in 2008 and 2010, and choreographed and performed in “We Put the Spring in Springfield: The Music of the Simpsons” alongside Matt Groening and Al Jean at San Diego Comic-Con in 2013.  Off-Broadway, he has performed in “American Mill No. 2” at LaMaMa Experimental Theatre La Galleria and A.R.T./NY Theatres, and “Regret + Time Travel,” and “The Poofs” at Dixon Place. www.anthonynapoletanoartist.com
