Jim Mercer

Jim Mercer is a culinary artist whose food philosophy is grounded in the slow food and locavore movements.  His flavor inspirations come directly from his philosophy of “Start with the local culinary heritage and add in flavors or techniques from Europe; the spice traditions of India or Morocco; and the bold flavors of the Orient.” He arrived is a current resident of Easton Mountain, here to support and serve the community.  In tandem with his culinary life, he has also been a student of the inner arts or contemplative life. He has studied with Brugh Joy, Carole Kammen and Lynnaea Lumbar, undergoing the Heart, and Third eye initiations, including shadow work with Brugh. He found a good therapist in Cambridge MA, and embarked on a three-year group process. His interests also led to yoga teacher training with Bob Cooley to learn his Meridian stretching technique and in the last decade he finished a four-year mystery school process with Pathways Institute. He is currently embarking on a journey to create a Personal Life Coach practice, which includes classes and study.
