** Presenting: Exploring Dance Forensics & Clockwork Toybox **

Exploring Dance Forensics – Sat, Oct 24th 2pm – Explore dance as an origin concept. Middle Eastern, North African, Turkic, and Hellenistic (MENATH) dance styles were my introduction to dance, and so the movement concepts we’re going to explore are from a perspective that views these dances as a possible origin of intentional rhythmic movement, not definitive. The movement in this class will start off very gently, and we won’t be doing level changes at all, so unless you have an injury, showing up to the class without warming up will be perfectly fine.

Clockwork ToyboxSun, Oct 25th 2pmLearn new tricks to expand your body’s potential for movement expression. We’re going to do some exercises to bring your awareness into spaces your body doesn’t naturally gravitate towards while learning tricks to create isolations of several types. We’ll end the class by drilling one or two movement combinations that call on what we worked on in the class in order to help solidify the concepts.
